iPhone Ringer Sound Volume Gets Low on Incoming Calls
Is the volume of incoming calls on iPhone too low after updating to iOS 16? This seems to be a new bug that makes it hard to hear notifications on your device even though the volume is turned up to maximum. Restarting your iPhone doesn’t seem to help.
How to fix iPhone Ringer Sound Volume Gets Low on Incoming Calls?
There is currently no workaround for this issue. You can try to fix it with the following troubleshooting steps:
Step 1:Restart Your iPhone
If your device’s ringtone volume is low without you doing anything, it could be due to bugs. If there are any minor software glitches on your device, chances are that it can affect the sound of your device. Most such software glitches can be resolved by simply restarting your iPhone.
Rebooting will force the memory to end the current task, thus clearing the cache, and once the device starts up, the memory will start dealing with such a problem again. Therefore, you should reboot and see if this option can work on your device.
1: Tap and release Volume Up, then Volume Down and press the side button until the screen turns off. This may take a while.
2: Once the screen disappears, you need to hold the side button until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
Step 2: Ringer & Alerts Maximum Volume
You should set the ringtone volume to maximum to make sure your iPhone sounds as loud as possible under the circumstances:
1: Open Settings and tap Sounds & Haptics.
2: Drag the Ringtone and notification volume slider all the way to the right.
3: The preview can sound very loud. Don’t worry because of the iOS 16 iPhone ringtone volume bug, it won’t sound too loud when an incoming call alert is generated.
Step 3: Disable Attention-Aware Features
iPhone can be set to automatically lower the notification volume when you are actively looking at the screen. This happens thanks to the Face ID module and can be disabled as follows:
1: Open Settings and tap on Accessibility.
2; Go to Face ID & Attention which is available in the Touch section.
3: Turn off Attention Aware features if enabled.
4: Enter your iPhone passcode to confirm your action.
Step 4: Toggle Off Change with Buttons
Sometimes you might accidentally press the volume down button while trying to reach into your pocket or you might accidentally press the button in different circumstances. This is why the ringtone volume is low, even though you may have previously set the volume higher.
There is a feature called “change with buttons” to modify the function of the volume buttons. If you disable this feature, the touch will not affect the ringtone volume and will instead control the media volume. So you should try it out and see if it can work for you.
1: Open Settings.
2: Go to Sounds and Haptics.
3: Toggle off Change with Buttons.
Step 5: Contact Your Apple Support
If you are still unable to resolve this issue with the fixes above, another option is to visit Apple Support. They will check your device on the hardware and software levels to fix the problem.
Suppose it is due to physical damage, they could replace it with a new iPhone or change the part depending on whether you are still under warranty or it may vary depending on the company’s policy. So you should visit the official Apple support center to get detailed information.
