WatchOS 8.4.1 is now available for Apple Watch Series 4 and later
Apple is sending out watchOS 8.4.1 to some Apple Watch customers today, following the release of watchOS 8.4 last week. Because the update appears to be limited to Apple Watch Series 4 and later, this is the case.
The watchOS 8.4.1 update is a small upgrade to the watchOS 8 operating system, which was released in September. The release of watchOS follows the release of watchOS 8.4, which included a patch for a continuing charging issue.

WatchOS 8.4.1 is now available for Apple Watch
It’s unclear what exactly has changed with the update, but according to the release notes, watchOS 8.4.1 addresses bugs that only affect Apple Watch Series 4 and later. Although the Apple Watch Series 3 is compatible with watchOS 8, it does not appear that the update for today has been made available for it.
Go to General > Software Update in the dedicated Apple Watch app on the iPhone to download watchOS 8.4.1 for free. The Apple Watch must have at least 50% battery life, be charged, and be within range of the iPhone in order to load the updated software.
On January 26, watchOS 8.4 was published, which solved an issue that prevented some third-party chargers from charging the Apple Watch. Apple has also been testing watchOS 8.5 beta alongside iOS 15.4 beta, however, the beta update does not include any major new features.
